Fossil Springs Cleanup with Arizona Wilderness Coalition

September 23, 2009

I spent last weekend at Fossil Springs with the Arizona Wilderness Coalition picking up trash and breaking up fire rings. Fossil Springs is one of Arizona’s great wonders — a truly remarkable place. Much of the canyon is designated a federal wilderness area and thanks to the hard work of the AWC Fossil Creek is now Arizona’s second wild and scenic river.

Here is a slide-show of my still photos from the trip.

And here is a video I made with my Canon G10 doing some underwater video of the spring. Make sure the HQ is on for the best quality!

Again, many thanks to the Arizona Wilderness Coalition for not only a great trip, but for all the dedication and hard work on preserving Arizona’s wild places! Please check them out and consider joining! www.azwild.org.

Kevin Gaither-Banchoff: Jason - thanks for not only joining Sam at the event, but for your fantastic photography, video, and good words about AWC. It's great having you as a part of our group. I look foward to seeing you in person again soon. kevin
