The Famous 'Parachute'
This is one of the most famous structures in the cave. This is a hand-held shot at 1/15sec exposure -- turned out ok... Be sure to check the later pics where I had the tripod and a torch to paint with.

The circular formation in the middle of the photo is a cave sheild. Lehman Caves have one of the highest concentrations of these in the world.

The sense of scale is lost in this photo, but this was probably 15-20 feet high

I hit this with my flashlight at a 90 degree angle and took an 8 second exposure to get this effect.

Right above
Being 6'6" in a place like this is hazardous. This is inches above my head

Abstraction
I really like the way this turned out -- it's a 30 second exposure with light painted 2 different flashlights

More light painting -- turned out a bit splotchy, but I like the effect -- sort of eerie.

The Parachute
The ranger asked a boy what this looked like to him -- the boy quickly replied that it was obviously an elephant that stepped in bubble gum.

memory
I can't for the life of me remember what this stuff is called, but it's amazing. Very delicate and intricate -- and it's mostly crystals that shimmer like diamonds. If you know, please leave a comment below!

Reflections of Lehman
I took a ton of shots of this spot - really like the reflection in the pool. This is the most crystal clear water I've ever seen.

This is one of only a handful of structures in Baker Nevada. Its an old ranch house that I'm told is circa 1860s. Drove by it on my way out of the cave, thought I'd take a quick shot.
