An organ blast for sunrise
I took a friend and my girlfriend out to Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument this weekend. We had an awesome time camping for two nights, grilling steaks, drinking beer, climbing Ajo Peak, and of course -- taking pictures! This is a sunrise shot near ou

wisps and wispers
More scenery around Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument as TinyPirate08 and I explored the desert during sunrise. The clouds were just magical, and untouched by nasty contrails.

An organ serenade to the alpenglow
I was a little bummed our first night in the park was without clouds, but at least I caught some nice alpenglow to the east just after the sun dipped behind the horizon. The spindles to the right is an organ pipe cactus skeleton.

Nature's Paintbrush
I guess what I like about this one is the sky -- not because its interesting and dynamic, but because its real. I'm not saying that my other skies aren't real, but this sky is not due to jet contrails. We were so far south that I did not see or hear a sin

Sometimes you work so hard on getting a picture to work out that even when it doesn't quite cut it, you spent so much time on it you have to post it. This is one such picture....
This is a vertorama of 3 HDR frames. I tonemapped them in...

Not a particularly exciting pic, but this is looking up at Mount Ajo 10 miles to the West from our camp site. This is a quick 3 frame pano taken with my 70-200 lens.

Cheers!!
I musta had 30lbs on my back on the way up -- 3 liters of water, 32oz of gatorade. 2 sandwiches and random munchies, first aide, headlamp, my big tripod, 3 lenses, and two ice cold beers for my buddy and I to enjoy on the summit!!! Sure was worth it -- Ch
